Summer Seasonal Employment Opportunities
Each year, over 100 staff members work together to create a fantastic summer camp program over the course of 10 weeks. The different departments have different schedules and number of positions available. For all positions, previous experience is a benefit, but not required. All staff are required to submit to a Voluntary Disclosure of legal records and Background Check. Once hired, there will be year round opportunities to work on a part-time basis, based on demand.
These staff members live at camp full time during summer camp sessions. Positions available include Junior Counselor (ages 16-17), Senior Support Staff (ages 17-18), Senior Counselor (age 18+), Activity Specialist (age 18+), Adventure Counselor (age 20+), Support Team (age 19+), Healthcare Supervisor (Registered nurse or higher), and Assistant Healthcare Supervisor (EMT or higher). Different positions are required to work a various amount of weeks over the course of 8 weeks of camp and 2 weeks of training.
Food Service Staff
These staff members prepare and serve Sunday evening dinner through Friday evening dinner each week of the summer. On a full day of meals, the kitchen will be open from 6am-7:30pm. The kitchen will serve up to 250 at a time, family or buffet style. Positions are available as Senior Cooks, Associate Cooks, and Kitchen Assistants, based on experience and certifications.
Aquatics Staff
These staff members maintain the safety and cleanliness of the Westview pool for the summer camp program and rental groups. Afternoon and evening shifts are available Sunday- Friday. All necessary training will be provided upon offering a position. Previous experience is considered.
Maintenance Staff
This department maintains all buildings, facilities, vehicles, and grounds on camp property. They perform routine upkeep, make basic repairs, and execute projects of all sizes. These staff typically work shifts Monday-Friday, between breakfast and dinner, but other schedules are available. Previous experience is considered.
