Summer Camp

Westview is a place where you can explore the real you!

Westview's overnight Summer Camp Program is about good friends, fun and challenging activities, and exploring how living a Christian lifestyle can benefit how we live each day.

In the Summer of 2007, 1460 campers enjoyed the Westview tradition of fun and friendships with a caring staff in a setting that has grown to serve the needs of children and youth 6 to 14 years of age.

In addition to our Resident Summer Camp program, Westview offers Adventure programs for teens 13 to 17 years old. Adventure campers hike the mountains of Virginia, canoe the James River, raft the New River in West Virginia, or hang glide at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Mountain biking, rock climbing, caving or sailing the Neuse River are other adventures.

Our emphasis is on fun in the outdoors with the guidance of caring counselors who listen, play, share, and teach. Ministers in Residence from our United Methodist Churches lead Bible Study through discussion, song, drama and games.

Camp is about independence, making friends, learning to take care of yourself, challenging activities, "cool" counselors, campfires, vespers and special programs.
