When thinking of camp food what comes to mind?

Perhaps Hobo packs filled with fresh veggies and chicken or hamburger cooking over a campfire, a bubbling camp stew, or forget the main course altogether and go right for the graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate and create your own s'mores.

Food is a very important component of our camp program. It is the one activity that all campers will attend three times a day, each day of camp. It's tough to compete sometimes with mom's or dad's home cooking but our staff work hard to provide good tasty food that will keep campers and staff fueled for the week full of activities. Campers will enjoy three well-balanced meals and an afternoon and evening snack each day.

Camper friendly food such as pizza, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, hamburgers or grill cheese are lunch time favorites. Dinner may include turkey, ham, lasagna, fried chicken or barbecue. Breakfast favorites include French toast sticks, eggs and bacon, bagels and muffins and a camp favorite every Thursday - Pancakes. Specialty of the D-hall are Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

Dear Kitchen Staff,

Thank you for all the delicious meals that you prepared for us.  It sure must be hard , always working in the kitchen and dining hall.  I can't thank you enough for all your work.  You make breakfast, lunch and dinner the best parts of the day for me and I'm sure others also.  I hope you realize how special all of you are!

                                               Sincerely,

                                                Hunter

Campers have the opportunity to cook out on Wednesdays and experience Jaybird rice, Chicken Diablo, a hearty Chili, Tacos etc.

The 2004 Summer camper evaluations shared that campers and staff loved the food and got plenty to eat.
